2010 Paving Schedule
On July 12, 2010, the Town’s 2010 paving will begin with the streets in order as follows:
- Cedar Street (Main Street to dead end)
- West Street (Town line to Lincoln Road)
- South Street ( Washington street to Brown Drive)
- East Street (High plain Street to Main Street) Summer Street
These streets will be cold planed and then paved. Expect delays during ongoing work. Detours may be added as necessary and will be posted.

On Monday August 23, 2010, Summer Street/Everett Street at Norfolk will be closed to through traffic at Route 115.
Summer Street will be closed to through traffic at Winter Street in Walpole.
Closing will be due to road work/cold planing, and will be in force starting 6:00 AM Monday
morning.
Open to local traffic/ residents only.

2009 Paving
During this construction season 2009, the following list of streets are to be paved. Once paving on these streets is complete, a five year moratorium will be imposed against excavation into the new pavement. (Selectmen’s Policies and Procedures Manual, Section 401-5.a, Road and Street opening Permits).
Please be advised that work on the following three streets will commence on June 29,2009, with Washington Street :
Street closures are not anticipated at this time, but there may be travel delays at any given point.
The Schedule for work on these remaining streets listed below will be updated in the near future.

Pine Street Sewer Construction
Beginning on March 30, 2009, the Sewer department will be installing sewer on Pine Street. Construction will start near the intersection of Washington Street, and proceed up Pine Street toward Whiting Avenue. During construction hours, Pine Street will be open to local traffic only, depending upon where the installation is taking place each day. Through traffic to Route 1 shall proceed southerly on Washington Street to Water Street to Route 1, or northerly on Washington Street to Common Street to Route 1.
